Call for Artists
Exhibition:
Spiritual Visions:
Crossing Boundaries, Making Connections
December 17 - February 2, 2010
Deadline: September 16th, 2010
Theme: The concept of this exhibition begins with the museum’s permanent collection. Truly a celebration of the arts, the Sloane Collection features significant artwork with religious and spiritual iconography ranging from Asian to Russian to Spanish; and from ancient to 19th century.
The Hermitage Museum and Gardens invites emerging and professional artists to explore the concept of giving a contemporary voice to expressions of spiritual iconography. All of us are influenced by religion, spirituality or mysticism in some way; how does it affect your work? What are your spiritual visions?
Submit works in all media that the museum is able to display.
